Cultural semiotics: App icon
Idakka is an hourglass-shaped drum from Kerala. It is musical and rhythmical and is believed that it has been sent to the Earth by Lord Nataraja .It can produce an amazing variety of soft sounds. Even the Sapthaswara can be played. It is believed that the instrument represents the Vedas, arts and the human form.
Target audience
The icon has been designed for an imaginary app that provides users with calming and relaxing Indian music for activities such as meditation, yoga, music therapy, studying, sleeping etc.
